Finished and construction photos

From its humble beginnings as an ash dump in the late 1800s, Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) has come to represent the very best in urban gardening and horticultural display.  The BBG includes many specialty areas such as the Fragrance Garden and the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden.  Another of these is the Discovery Garden for children, freshly rebuilt this year in a new section of the BBG. This garden covers an acre of land that recreates the marsh, woodland and meadow habitats of the New York area. It also features a number of educational exhibits, graphics and cool, hands-on interactive opportunities for children. These were designed by Metcalfe Architecture & Design and produced and installed by us using the latest weather and kid resistant materials.

The slideshow features photos of the completed Discovery Garden. It also includes photos from the construction phase where we had to work around landscapers planting thousands of flowers, trees and shrubs.
